LT. GOV. JOSH GREEN JOINS SPECTRUM TO ANNOUNCE 150 NEW JOBS IN HAWAII

Inbound Sales Representatives Can Earn More than $60,000 Annually with
Comprehensive Benefits and Career-Growth Opportunities

OAHU, Hawaii (July 8, 2022) — Spectrum and Hawaii Lt. Gov. Josh Green today announced plans for the company to hire 150 new Inbound Sales Representative and management positions at its Mililani call center by the end of this year. Lt. Gov. Green, state Sen. Glenn Wakai and Spectrum executives were joined by other community and business leaders for the announcement.

“Spectrum has been a leading employer in the state of Hawaii for years,” said Lt. Gov. Green. “Their continued investment in our local economy and our diverse, talented workforce demonstrates their commitment to our community. These 150 job openings are valuable opportunities that will represent the start of a promising career for so many Hawaii residents.”

The new Inbound Sales Representatives will handle calls from new and current customers interested in Spectrum Internet®, Mobile, TV, and Voice services from Hawaii, and will also take calls from across the company’s 41-state service area. These full-time, growth-opportunity roles offer a variety of shifts and highly competitive base pay, with lucrative commissions and incentive opportunities: Representatives who reach their targets earn more than $60,000 annually on average, with top performers earning $80,000 or more.

Interested candidates can learn more about these roles and apply online at Spectrum’s Careers site. In addition, virtual hiring events are scheduled for Aug. 4 and Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon HST.

“Our inbound sales team plays a vital role in attracting customers and matching our services with the customer’s needs,” said Tamara Bowens, Group Vice President of Sales at Charter Communications, Inc., which offers services under the Spectrum brand. “We know that Hawaii offers a highly skilled and motivated workforce — we already have more than 1,100 employees across the state, including more than 600 at our Mililani offices. Now we are looking for more talented professionals with a passion for sales, who are ready to build a career as we meet the growing demand for our high-value Spectrum services.”

Over the next five years, Spectrum is also making a $1 million investment to renovate and update the Mililani facility with the latest technology and work stations, as well as updated training, conference and break rooms.

“The state is preparing to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to deploy broadband into our communities, but we cannot do it alone. It is imperative that we partner with private businesses to ensure it’s done efficiently and flawlessly,” said state Sen. Glenn Wakai. “Spectrum is taking a giant leap forward by sharing its expertise and training our workforce of tomorrow. They are going the extra mile, to get internet service to the last mile.”

In addition to unlimited earning potential and career-growth opportunities, employees receive comprehensive health benefits, and for nine consecutive years, Charter has absorbed the full annual cost increase of medical, dental and vision coverage.

The company also offers employees a market-leading retirement plan, with a 401(k) that matches the first 6% of employee contributions, as well as complimentary and discounted pricing on Spectrum Internet®, TV and Mobile services.

“Adding 150 new jobs for Hawaii residents will support our state’s recovery process as we continue to bounce back from the pandemic,” said Susan Tai, Executive Director of the Economic Development Alliance of Hawaii. “By providing competitive jobs with formal and on-the-job training, comprehensive benefits and tuition remission, Charter is playing an important role in building a quality workforce and a stronger economy by helping our communities return back to work.”

Charter Communications provides equal opportunities for employment and advancement to qualified employees and applicants. Individuals will be considered for positions for which they meet the minimum qualifications and are able to perform without regard to race, color, gender, age, religion, disability, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, current unemployment status, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local laws.
