Grant Writing Support

FSI has entered into a unique partnership with the University of Hawai‘i to provide grant writing  assistance to state agencies, non-profits, and businesses partnering with the state. Assistance can include, but is not limited to, advice on how to strengthen the financial plan of a grant, how to tighten the focus of a project, and/or how to pull relevant information together to improve grant competitiveness.

Letters of Support

FSI has developed a unique pilot program that will strategically provide letters of support to be included in companies’ grant applications, and coordinate with departments in offering unique in-kind arrangements that will evidence state support of the grantee. We see this as a creative opportunity to maximize external dollars into the private sector community and build lasting mutually beneficial relationships between business and government.

Troubleshooting

Winning grant dollars has become increasing difficult as federal requirements have become more complex and other state entities have significantly stepped up their competitive approaches. Reducing barriers and other problems that unnecessarily impede the process will improve conditions for success. To this end, FSI is equipped to assist state agencies, and private entities doing business with the state, to troubleshoot problems that impede the application for or expenditure of external funds in the state.
